Source: Williamsport Review-Republican, September 14, 2000, pg 4

Weslie Farrar, Jr., 45, of Mims, Florida, died in a single vehicular collision on Sunday, September 3, 2000. Born March 21, 1955, he was the son of Weslie Sr. and Ellie Pearl Farrar of West Lebanon. They survive. Wes was a long-time resident of Warren County, before moving to Florida in 1982. He was a 1973 graduate of Seeger High School. His marriage was to Vicki L. Eacret of Williamsport on November 7, 1980. She survives. Vicki is the daughter of Kay (Joe) Warmack of Attica and Dick Eacret of Mims Fla. Also surviving, are: a son Weslie Farrar III and a grandson, Devin Scott Farrar, both of Salem; two sisters, Wonda J. (Jeff) Gosser of West Lebanon and Wenda J. Bush of Williamsport; a brother, Warren Jeff (Brenda) Farrar of Marshfield; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Wes was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman. His hobbies included fishing, boating, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He was a dedicated ironworker. Employed by Local 808 of Orlando, he was currently working at Cape Kennedy Space Center (Titusville) on the Launch Pad Crew. Family members thought Friday morning’s launch of Atlantis was very appropriate since it was where Wes had been working and it was also the day of his funeral. Funeral arrangements were handled by North Brevard Funeral Home, Titusville. Services were Friday, Sept. 8 at 1 p.m. with cremation following. Family and friends put his ashes to rest on the St. John's River (where the couple’s home is located). Wes spent many hours on the St. John and had expressed his wishes to return there if anything ever happened to him. – thanks to jlr  for typing this and to Mariah & Dellie for providing it :)
